Our Parents Were Once Young

Everyone, when they are young, knows what their destiny is. At that point in their lives, everything is clear and everything is possible. They are not afraid to dream, and to yearn for everything they would like to see happen to them in their lives. But, as time passes, a mysterious force begins to convince them that it will be impossible for them to realize their destiny.” from The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Our Parents Were Once Young

Do you ever think about your parents when they were young? Do you think about whether they had dreams and whether or not any of them came true? What happened to all of the youthful enthusiasm of Woodstock and the baby-boomer generation? Maybe now is the time for children to ask their parents what their dreams were for their lives when they were young. And for parents to ask your children about their hopes and dreams. If not now, then when?
